What do you think of the little note to go with it?Crochet Valentines IdeaThis is the note we are including with a crocheted bag of Hershey kisses for Valentines Day.I am also totally honored and excited to share with you that I’ve got some amazing sponsors that will be helping support my blog this month and even in the future! The coolest is that they are yarn companies that I already use and love and that you’ve seen here on the blog – Lion Brand Yarns and Mountain Meadow Wool.? Their support is so appreciated and should?help limit the husband’s suspicious sideways glances and help me keep the free patterns coming! __? The wonderful people, readers (that’s YOU), and these amazing companies are what keeps me and this blog going. I am so very grateful. Hooray!MY LATEST VIDEOSHere’s some sneak peeks at the yarn and projects that I will be posting soon:Sneak PeekHere’s one of the BIGGEST projects that I’ve done. It will be posted soon! Any guesses what I’m making?Above, you can see that I’m using Lion Brand Color Clouds (it’s a new yarn) to knit a BIG, BIG project.? It is my new favorite super bulky / jumbo yarn.? I’ve always been a fan of Wool Ease Thick & Quick, but this is even softer.? I’m really enjoying it, and this pattern will be my next post!? I’m just finishing it up tonight, and I’m so thrilled with how?it turned out.? I’m holding out to keep it a secret until I post the pattern. __??However, it’s no?secret that?I use a?LOT of Lion Brand Yarn. Many of my first projects were made using both their yarn and their patterns which they provide for free on their website.? They have such an awesome variety of yarns, and the patterns on their site are great for any level. It was one of the few places that I knew I could go to get beginner patterns!???My very first knit hat was made from a pattern on their site. You can find a link to their patterns over on the side of my blog. __Sponsor Mountain Meadow WoolI’ve got a plan for this yarn, and it has something to do with a certain spring time holiday (think GREEN). Any guesses?Another yarn that I’m using and loving is Mountain Meadow Wool.? Remember the “Neopolitan Knit Cowl” (see HERE) that I made using their yarn???Several?of you told me how much you loved the colors and so did I! This time around I’m using this lovely, earthy green color that you see above.??Mountain Meadow Wool is?a woman owned company that is helping to sustain ranching here in the west.??It’s kind of neat because you can actually?go to their website and read about the ranches where the wool comes from (click HERE to check it out).? If you follow my blog, you know how important the outdoors and nature are to me and my family, so it’s great to support a company that’s helping here in the west.? Besides the fact that it’s a super cool company with an amazing mission, their wool yarns are a treat to play with.? They were also a Martha Stuart’s “American Made Finalist” in 2014 – kind of a big deal!Wool Ribbed Knit Cowl ConstructionMakings of a knit cowlI can’t wait to share some of the new patterns coming up this month!I hope you are enjoying February and stay tuned friends!
