Ground Lean Chicken, Spinach and Whole Foods Gorgonzola Burgers Recipe

Today’s recipe is in preparation of my weekly meal prep and this time I wanted to turn my lean ground turkey from Whole Foods into something unique, tasty and healthy. I bought 1 package of their lean ground chicken, a bag of organic frozen spinach and their raw milk gargonzola cheese. The cheese and the spinach paired with the lean ground chicken taste amazing! The goal is to make the mix and then freeze the extra patties or turn the entire mix into meatballs. However you decide to cook them they are delicious and a high protein meal.


This cheese was a random find during my shopping trip and I love that it uses raw milk and is vegetarian. Gorgonzola is one of my favorite cheeses and it pairs really well in this recipe. This is also great to have on hand to use in salads or vegetable/rice pilaf.


For seasonings I just used the McCormick Italian Herbs seasoning which has no MSG.


Add the package of ground chicken, 1/2 cup of the cheese and about 1 and 1/2 cup of spinach and use your hands to mix together.


I baked these on 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Then I took them out of the oven and put them on a non stick pan to brown the outsides for about 10 minutes.


When they are done lay them out on a paper towel lined plate to absorb any of the extra juice or fat that come after they are cooked. Then you are ready to eat and enjoy!
